Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)

Cherry pickers against stormy sky

In order to operate an EWP with a boom length of 11m or more, operators must hold a National Licence to perform High Risk Work. This course is aligned with the unit competency TLILIC2005 and enables the operator to safely and efficiently operate an Elevated Work Platform in a variety of work environments.

The EWP Training covers the skills and knowledge to be able to:

  • Plan work
  • Inspect the machinery
  • Perform pre-operation tests
  • Position and set-up the work platform
  • Operate the EWP
  • Shut down and secure the elevating work platform

Training Courses are run every week for both experienced and non-experienced operators. It is a 2 day course and flexible, on-site training options are also available. There is also the option for weekend training courses for those who work during the week.

Once completed, this certification is recognised as being conducted by a registered training organisation and enables the holder to operate an Elevated Work Platform in the workplace.
